Testimonies

Carlo: "I learned that there is more to being saved, that God has chosen me to be apart of his kingdom and the building there of. That reading the bible and understanding what is in the bible are two different things. And that you can hear God and what he is trying to tell you in different forms."
Tiphanny is a 17 year old teen who has decided herself to live for Christ. She had attended the Joshua Generation Camp twice and it was at this year’s annual Camp that she made the decision to take that narrow path, lesser travelled.
Initially, she had no interest in attending Camp again but was driven by a sense of urgency to change her life. “A fearful feeling of death” as she describes it, surrounded her.
Tiphanny now expresses that she has learned a lot at both camps but this year round the teachings have hit home! Not only has she gained an even deeper understanding of life in Christ but most of what she heard spoke directly to her current life situation. Tiphanny had been in a relationship with someone who has no relationship with the Lord and the teaching on “Sexual Purity” really opened her eyes to the dynamics of such an unequally matched relationship. It enabled her to make the decision to abstain from being intimate with her boyfriend, not only physically but emotionally as well because of beginning to understand the importance of obedience and honour to God.
Her literal experience of surrendering her life to Christ was one of overwhelming excitement, joy and peace. She could hardly wait because she just knew it was the right thing to do at the right time. She also knew her choice would greatly improve her relationship with God. After praying, she felt renewed and purified instantly and gladly took the “icy” next step of making her faith public by being baptised in water!
Thus far on this path she has come to realise its challenges. Those of having to make many changes and those of having to keep them and not fall back into habitual patterns. She knows it’s a process of which surrendering her life to Christ is but only the beginning. Despite all the questions she has and all the challenges she faces, her hope in Christ outweighs everything; a hope for everything in her life, her challenges, her future and a hope that greatly strengthens!
Best Quote:
When asked whether she felt loved by God;
“I have no doubt in my heart that the Lord loves me! I
know He loves me and I know He hears me even though I do not yet hear Him clearly myself. I know He is with me!”
Camila said: during the camp as a private, God has helped me to be a better person. He helped me be more obedient to my parents especially my mom and also not to take her for granted. He also helped me to forgive my dad and not to dislike him anymore.

As a corporal he helped me to understand what it means to lead other people and to help others. He also made me realise that it does not matter how much authority you have over someone else as long as you are nice to the person the person will also be nice to you.
If you want to travel fast, travel alone; But if you want to travel far, then travel together!
